I was out on West loon Sat. and could not access East loon because a home owner had filled in the channel that connected the two. I have contacted the DNR to see what they can do about the situation. We have so few lakes to fish muskies in Illinois and someone goes and does this. Terrible!

That jerk has been doing that for years. I heard someone say last year that the county may take over management of the lake and dredge that spot. I wish someone would confirm it because I would expect they wouldn't take over management if the ramp property was still in question.

I would call the county rather then the DNR. The DNR stopped stocking it many years when they became aware that the property owners may restrict access at the ramp only to property owners.

I do not believe that is legal for him to do since he cannot own the channel. That channel is impassable in low water anyway. I wish they would stock musky in this chain again.

Someone who may have info on whether or not the county is taking over management would be Greg Dickson at triangle Sprots. He seems to get info on the issues aruond him. It would be nice i think. As long as the ramp issue is taken care of so they can begin stocking it again.
