When I finally got out on the lake and tested the last batch of resin baits I was less than impressed, so I made a new wood master with a wider head for vertical jigging and cast a plaster of Paris mold with an additional nose eye that will hopefully function better for high speed trolling.  A few pics of the master and resin lures that are being cast.

Very unique and interesting bait there Gary. How bout some fish pics when they do catch. Or at least an action video, I am very curious to see how it looks in the water

Brent -
I finally got out on the lake yesterday after having some fuel line problems on my outboard and was able to test the latest batch of resin lures in both vertical jig mode (top eye loop) and speed trolling (nose eye loop) modes. There's good news and bad. In the vertical jig mode the lures don't have nearly as much vibration along the lateral line as I had hoped, instead they display erratic horizontal jumps sideways much like the action on a glide bait. The horizontal jump and glide can cover as much as 2'. In the speed troll mode from the nose loop you can really crank these lures and then they do vibrate rapidly in the horizontal plane so they will have some use as tuna lures in the 6-12 mph range. Because they are so heavy they have very little action at low speeds around 2-3 mph. Trying to troll these from the top eye was a total bust, they blow out and spin out of control. I don't have a video camera or I would send some pictures. I did make one with a large metal lip that does work at low speeds, but only at low speeds. Very agressive shimmy and limited walk-the-dog action.

the resin lure does look cool though, couple dashes of glitter in there and bam.
