DaveP,

Indiana state record was 50" on the nose (29" girth)...24 hours after it was caught, we were able to find a certified scale and weighed 42.5#. I would say that fish was over 40#.

Hey Vince.
It sure felt like it. BUT, i am not in the habit of holding 40lbers all the time so how would i really know for sure. I was just amazed how heavy it was. I have held 30lbers. There were bigger ones netted too.

I still believe that fish was over 40# (100% sure).

Lake Carrol is amazing, period, i been lucky enough to fish it a few times
