Posts: 550 Location: So. Illinois | My wife loves to fish I had a hard time convincing her a couple of years ago to let me buy some muskie gear. Now that we have the gear and she has caught a few herself, she loves it. She also manages to outfish me on a routine basis. Below is the largest we have ever put in the boat. | We haven't tried it yet. I hear that out towards Otway at the Covered Bridge on Scioto Brush Creek. There have been some nice musky caught in that area. We drove out there last winter when we had to get out of the house just to do something. I don't mind fishing in the cold weather or hard rain but Mark don't do the cold. I had him take me to the Cave in March and he just about froze. I put the warmers in my gloves and shoes and started fishing. Its not as bad on me cause I am the on in the warm truck when we launch he's the one in the boat with the wind and snow blowing. I think we are going to try Otway this weekend and see what happens. Usually we only fish the Cave. Do you know of any other places in the Portsmouth area that have good musky fishing. I have also heard that there are musky in the Little Sandy River above the concrete bridge. We went a couple of times but no luck and I was wondering you have tried it. Judy

Posts: 724 Location: Southern W.Va. | I've fished with Karen De Petros on Cave run and she's as good a musky fisherperson as they come. Laura Morrison runs Muskies 101 and is fishing the Pro circurt with Tony Grant this year. They both have caught many more fish than I have but most people have . All I can say is "Welcome " Mauser
