Location: Waukesha, WI. | for me it is all about the musky, Big or small!!! I love them all. The look in there eye when you are putting them back. The follow. The blow up at night on a topwater, can it get better? and all that every one has put up here. I just love this sport |

Location: Mallard Island Lake Vermilion MN | I like doing something very different or new with a person NEW to the sport and the NEW thing works and the nebie hooks up.
Just like water, so it is all good to me.
A good old pain in the back means I worked hard.
A BIG smile on a clients or friends face still in my brain or the fact that their STILL yacking about it six hours later is fun too.
Wakeing up on the Island with the water about 20 feet away and the sound of the Loons at sunset as I put my boat to sleep on her rack knowing I AM home and really still on the water is pretty cool.
It's ALL good to me.
Fish or no fish.

| My favorite part is when a fish follows after 10 hours without a follow. Or when a fish misses the lure after 10 follows. Or maybe it's when I pull the lure away from the the fish cause I'm more interested in the next cast that the one I'm currently finishing.
No wait my absolute favorite is when I finally get a fish hooked after having the above happen and then she wins and comes unglued before she's in the net. God that is great!
Of course this all points to the fact that Musky fishing isn't easy. Sometimes in may seem easy.... That's when the fish seem to remind me that I'm just as dumb as they are. That's my favorite part.
The Real Thick Shady
P.S. If it ever becomes easy or it's not fun losing fish is the day I quit.

Location: Waukesha, WI. | One more thing. It is said on the first time out in my boat " I can't wait till next year". Say this to who you are fishing with on opening day, and see what they say. It helps me to make the most out of the time on the water. WINTER!!! |
