| Very common on early season Muskies--Looks like typical spawning scars to me----I do alot of walleye fishing in WI before the Memorial weekend Muskie opener and we catch many,many early pre-opener muskies and Many of them have the spawning scars just like your fish has. Have seen those marks on most larger fish that I would think to be the FEMALES. |

Location: SE Wisconsin | One similar to JLongs, but I have to assume this was spawn related. Caught this fish in the first week of June in Vilas Co. . The interesting thing is while the spawn would have only been a couple months prior, this scar was still dripping blood.. So maybe it was an aggressor or maybe something out of the ordinary.

Location: Seymour, WI | Those are just spawning scars. If the fish got hit by a prop it would look a lot worse than that. |
