Wow! Some guys were pretty darn spot on and others not so much.

30.25 lbs

21.5" girth

.

.

.

45.83" !!!!!

This fish was just a pig, I had to share. I have not seen a heavier fish-at-length before.

EDIT - deleted.

My apologies for bringing work here. First and last time.

Kreg Knoll - 5/3/2008 2:37 PM What an ugly specimen!!!! I'll guess that sucker is about 5' 6" with a 32 in. girth. An obvious case of poor genetics. 165 lbs and far past its prime. as for the fish I'll guess the length at 45.75 and the girth 21.5 weighing in at just over 30lbs. The fish looks looks to be in great shape... much unlike its handler. Keep up the great work buddy see you soon.

Great post.  I needed that laugh after the last couple of days...

tfoot,
The picture is a very impressive one, and the idea interesting. My son works for the WIDNR and has published a few images here, too. The 'genetics' debate has raged here for several years now, and any offering of even the slightest chance of support one way or the other from anyone working out there on our fisheries projects in the US or Canada will get a ton of attention.

Thanks for all you do for the guys out there enjoying the sport, I know how much work there is to do this time of year. I haven't seen Keith in days; net during the day, shock at night...
