haha. in all seriousness, i stopped taking any measurements or size on any fish. non fishermen dont care, fishermen chastise any measurement regardless, so it doesnt make any difference what it was. started appreciating the chase more because of it, being preoccupied on the hunt and not about getting internet cred.


Made me smile because I'm close to that too.

A few years back on the last hour of our vacation, the cabin was cleaned and my bride was signing out of the resort, I decided to make one last pass around some islands.

2nd cast, a large fish that I thought "Man, she's nice!!" and nearly just let go. Thought might as well take out the already stowed measuring stick.....50+"!!! Wow...and she was only the 2nd "50" I'd ever gotten.

Guess I was feeling a bit "ho-hum" but glad I did get a measure. I didn't believe it at first. So, I know what you mean.
