Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I am headed to both Canadian MuskieFIRST trips and a trip to Cass this year. Wabigoon should be a kick for sure, and I am definitely looking forward to Sabaskong Bay again. Where are you booked for a Muskie Vacation this summer or fall?

| I'm headed to paradise cove on the winnipeg river the third week in August. We tried to get in last year but a forest fire and mounted police kept us out. Everyone please put out your camp fires and arsonists please conduct restraint. Shorter trips to Leech (Craven) and Vermilion (Terry Ace Guide) and Mille lacs (solo) will also be thoroughly enjoyable. Fish good everyone. | |||

Posts: 358 | I will be heading for Canadian waters for the first time in my life. Seeing as how I am turning the big 50 this year, I figure I bet getter there soon (LOL.) I will be fishing Georgian Bay, and judging by what I have been told there are some real "super subs" swimming around in those waters. I will be heading up there the last week of July. I will also hopefully get a chance to fish some waters of Minnesota this year. I dont recall exactly who, but one of the MF members was organizing a trip to a lake in Minnesota that sounded like a great time.

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Not much planned this year... Going to try to make the Cass event for 4 days. As of now no Canada trips planned... With fuel at $2.11/gal in Chippewa Falls I'll be churning up the local water a whole lot more this year.... $52 for 1/2 tank of gas for the boat yesterday... There goes my milk money...

Posts: 177 Location: Cohasset, MN | I'll be heading to "Lake of the Woods Lodge" out of Nestor Falls for a couple days in July. The whole family is going so hopefully they'll be content to let Dad pitch the big stuff for a couple hours. Never been to LOTW for anything but hard water walleye's. Looking VERY forward to it. Location: Woodstock, IL | Heading to Vilas for the opener in a few weeks, then back up there again at the end of June. Most of July and August will be spent fishing locally, if at all. I'll be back in Vilas for the WMT series at the end of August and will stretch it out for a week of hunting musky and some R&R. The tradition of a fall musky hunt may not happen this year. My wife talked me into a week at DisneyWorld to celebrate our five year anniversary. I may just have to spend a half day chasing monster bass in that lake down there.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | One week trip to LOTW in July. Walsh's Baystore, as close to heaven as I have found. Hopefully at least one trip to fish the waters in MN. Other than that I am stuck fishing Oneida and Vilas counties every day. Darn it!!

| This year I am checking out new musky waters in IL, IN, WI, and MN in advance of getting my own boat. One week planned on The Mighty Chip in late June, one week fly in to Lake St. Joseph for walleye in September, and my annual trip to The Ottawa River in late November. If business picks up and my fortunes improve, I also hope to fish LOTW Northwest Angle again this year in late September or early October. So many great musky waters out there now to explore, lucky us! | |||

| Once the season opens, I will be spending quite a bit of time at the cabin in Iron county, although the real trip will be another run back up to AML on Eagle Lake in mid July. Can - not - wait!! | |||

Posts: 96 Location: Eden Prairie, Mn. | No big vacations but, alot of weekenders - I just can't commit to more than 4 days to the same water unless it's a Canadian adventure. Lake attention deficit sysndrome - Hey my Doc. should write me a prescription of 2-4 thousand casts a day for 5-7 days in a relaxing atmosphere - all on my health care provider !!! Leech Lake - you rat b@st@rd - I'm gonna flog you till I drop and weep like a little boy. 4-6 weekenders Vermilion - Ah, Bach. Like fine wine .... To be enjoyed, drunk in slowly. Not too much or often, so she may never lose her mystique. 3-4 weekenders. Plus wally opener action !!! Mille Lacs - The big dish with a little rock in one corner and weeds on the other - 2 flavors that go great together. Hey you got weeds in my rock - no you got rock in my weeds. 2-3 day trips and or weekenders. Mother ps - I have to spread the misery

Posts: 484 Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | release - 5/10/2004 8:56 AM Going to Crow lake, Ontario last week in July with a whole new game plan to fish the suspended fish Suspended muskies can be caught on Crow in the summer. The only problem is keeping them alive. Bringing muskies up from 50 feet or deeper water is really stressful on muskies, especially in the hottest time of the year. CPR is difficult. I have chosen not to target these fish. Please be careful.

Posts: 376 Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | Just like every other summer, I'm stuck up here on the Big V for the whole season. I have dates with several MF'ers and one with my good bud MuskyTom, for 5 days in September. Have a great summer everybody, I'll be working, no vacation for me this season. Posts: 244 Location: Mallard Island Lake Vermilion MN | Hi ya Ace, what's for Lunch? I can't get off the Island until Halloween, so I gues I have to fish? Dam, I'm in a tight spot! Do my running around during the winter and man did I run around. I still can't hear most of the stuff Bonnie is throwing in my direction. Picked up a sweet Custom PRS Soapbar and made some Scratch to pay for me summer Gas. T.
