Location: Metro, MN | Has anyone ever fished Little Winnibigoshish for muskies rather than just Winnie? I have a buddy who lives on and claims there are a good number of muskies in Little Winnie but for the most part he doesn't know what he's talking about and makes stories up all the time. He has also never caught a muskie and does not fish for them.
DNR shows no studies ever captured muskies and most likely even a smaller number than Big winnie. Just curious if anyone has been on the lake or targeted them there with any success

Location: Cohasset, MN | I spent a day out there a couple years ago. Only saw 1 fish. Fortunately I caught it. As mentioned there are plenty of small pike. The public "landing" on the lake is just a sandy beach - no dock or concrete planks. The trail to it was about 4 feet wider than my pickup so was praying not to meet anyone going the opposite direction. Last I checked the resort won't let you launch at their facility unless you're a guest. Might be able to get there from the launch on the downstream side of the Winnie dam ? Never tried it and don't know how deep the river is there.
