Location: Brainerd,MN | At the MN expo I purchased an All Star 6'10" heavy. I was impressed with the All Stars that now I want to get the 8' but I noticed that it has a moderate action. The St Croix 8' has a fast action. Is there much difference between the two? I would mainly be using it for bucktails and topwater. Maybe a small crankbait from time to time. |

| I would agree, for what you want to throw the St.Croix is the rod! I like that more moderate action on big cranks but would not choose and 8`er for that! Handy |
