Do hard plastic lures have better hooking odds because muskies can’t sink their teeth into it, therefore being able to slide/slam the hooks home?

yes they do, but as an aside, this summer my girlfriend(Monica) had a musky pierce a Topraider, and it left its tooth inside the back portion of the bait.

Yes plactic baits do hook up better. With that said though many wood baits have a hard epoxy finish too them which helps alot.

Jason, there are cheaper ways to get priercings.[;)]
