I often fish some lakes that are connected by shallow channels. When I trim motor up to get through, the fuel bulb loses pressure. Sometimes to the point of the motor dying. I don't trim it up that high and the distance is not very far, maybe 100 yards or so. I end up having to pump up the bulb to make it through. The motor is a 2010 50hp two stroke mercury. What's the deal? Is there an air leak? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd try a new gas hose and connectors first.

Yep what Steve said your sucking air someplace, bulb or any connectors may be the issue...
