'Fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.

When a fisherman is going to tell you about the big muskie he caught, he knows you will subtract ten pounds to allow for his untruthfullness.

So he adds ten pounds to allow for your subtraction. The other ten pounds he adds on account of being such a liar.

Then he adds five pounds for good measure, because what is five pounds more or less on such a big fish?

As a matter of fact, he didn't even catch that muskie. It died laughing at a Hokum's Deluxe Weedless Streamlined Hollow Ground Galvanized Non-Skid Semi-Automatic Husky Muskie Lure with Centerboard Optional, $1.50 at all sporting goods stores.

Lizzie Greig, the Gal Fly Tier of the Angler's Roost, was born in Scotland on the River Tweed. It was too late at night to borrow the green grocer's scales, so they used the one her Father used for Salmon.

She weighed 34 lbs., 5 ozs.'

Yes, I miss the guy's wit. His brand of dry humor always gives me a chuckle!
