Was looking at a boat with a 200 hp Verado with 610 hours. My question is if you thing that is too many hours? Would you be hesitant buying the boat?

Nope. Just getting broken in. That's about 100 hours per year.

If you are serious about buying this boat/motor, take it to a Merc Certified dealer, and have them put it on the computer and check it out. Any service work should have been documented. Money well spent.

Too many hours? no. 2006 Verado, maybe. When doing research in 2007 for a new rig, I was not overly impressed with that motor, and I'm a mercury guy. When I did buy, it was an opti. Not sayin that the verado is a bad machine, afterall it has been run for 610 hours, so something must be working right.
