| Maybe someone can steer me in the right direction. I turned a couple of baits on the lathe and attached some creeper wings. The first try out all the bait did was spin like it was a big prop. A friend told me to turn the wings inward slightly and that helped but I think the bait is sitting abit too low in the water. Also I attached the wings right on the center line of the bait. I now turned a bait abit bigger around and put the back end of the wing holder on center and the front one 1/16 below center. Hopefully this will work but I have no where to test it for now. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you. Ken |

| welcome to the wonderful world of creeper building! wing placement is really not a set science , you are on course with centerline and a very slight tip down on the front helps too. you can also twist the wings and make sure you have a cup in them too. i have even at times set 1 wing a little farther ahead than the other. play with them, every one is different, this forum is a great place to aska and get info, have fun with it. Location: Richland Center, WI. | The first creeper I made spun like a prop also. I was pretty bummed out. I then bent the wings from the top, bending the top forward. Creeper walked like a dream. Hope this helps.
