| I purchased two inflateable life jackets from Cabelas five years ago. Has anyone heard of issues of these NOT automatically inflating when their supposed to? A water activated device is supposed to initiate the CO2 cartridge in the jacket. Should this cartridge be replaced periodically? |

| Yes, they need changed. Different models require replacement in different intervals. The owners manual will tell you. Alot of them have expiration dates on them as well. But yes, they do require maintenance.
And if you're due to change it, discharge it instead of just remove it. You'll want to do a leak check on the inflatable bladder. |

| On a side note does anyone know if once the cord is pulled on a manuel one if the vest is suppossed to deflate on its own? mine did after a couple days |
