Looking to replace my old Garmin with a Lowrance HDS-7 Gen2. Looked at a 5, but can't stand the small screen. I looked at Navionics and Lakemaster cards to run in the new unit, but was wondering if anyone uses a Lowrance Lake Insight Pro Chart Cards in their units. Just seems to me that someting Lowrance would perform very good in a Lowrance unit. Any help would be great, but I'm sure just getting rid of an outdated unit is going to be a blessing.
Thanks, Beav

So far the 3 lakes I have been on with my Lake Insight HD 2012 card, the contours have been spot on. If I had to do it again, I would probably get the one without the 3d view and just get the Insight Pro card. If you have any questions or if you want a screen shot of some of the lakes I have been on, shoot me a message.

I just made the switch from a Garmin GPSMAP 535s to a HDS 7 Gen2. You won't be disappointed, but then again I hated my Garmin the last year or so. Used the Navionics chip on LOTW and everything worked great.
