Location: Duluth, MN | So guys I can get either of these brand new for $1500.
What should I get and why? Been a Lowrance user my whole life, but have heard great stuff about the birds. Help me decide!

Location: Stevens Point, WI | The Humminbird has more capabilities compared to the older LCX unit. For that money though, you could nearly get a HDS-8 Gen2 and get rebate money back if you buy as a bundle with structure scan.
I personally would not spend $1500 on a unit that is discontinued when you can get two different HDS generation models newer. The HDS has so much more to offer than the LCX's.

| It looks to me as if the best price comes from buying the unit and lss-1 separately. That's when you can get the 300 dollar rebate. I read a previous post about it and you said the best prices were with the bundles. I was going to ask the question then but didn't have time. Opinions? |
