I have a 2003 50hp Honda that's been sitting for close to 2 years - indoors and out, including in the snow. It's getting a basic tune right now. Would you get the water pump replaced? Never had any issues with it in the past. Is this overkill or in the best interest of being safe? Thanks

Hiya,

If it has been sitting for 2 years, I would say it is good preventative maintenance. If it has not been replaced before, it would definitely be a good idea. If it is dry, it could break off a part and get stuck in your cooling system, you run the risk of overheating your motor, and creating a bigger problem to fix.
