Quick inquiry, Is it normal/acceptable to hear an audible ticking coming from my transducer when the boat is out of the water and the sonar/GPS is turned on? I have a Lowrance 520c and usually mess with it when it's on the water, but last night I hopped into the boat in the garage and turned it on to check a few settings and heard the transducer "ticking" or "pinging"... sounded almost like a small taser. Just new to me, so asking is this normal or do I need to install my back up transducer... any answers would be greatly appreciated, Thanks everyone.
