Subject: 4 Stroke Oil ?

Hey Guys:

My Yamaha says to use 10W-30. It doesn't say anything about having to use Yamalube or 4 stroke "marine" oil.

I guess the "marine" oil has some extra specs that normal oil doesn't have.

Am I harming myself if I just go buy any synthetic 10W-30 and not "marine" and put it in?

It's best to stay with the same brand of oil as motor.Though most are the same, each company does add some additives just for there brand of motor.Putting Motorcraft oil in your GM just isnt right...
