I work mine with a slow retrieve, and every so often give it a “pop” by a quick pull of the rod, and usually followed by a second or two pause before continuing to reel. This time of year the tail is up, and usually have ½-1 oz eight in the front insert. Lately it has been ¾ oz. I fell the bait is more effective with the “pops” I do rather than the sweeps most bulldawg fisherman do. I also fish slow.

Do a search on here as the HH has been discussed before and you will find a bunch of info.

There isn't a wrong way to work it. I twtich and jerk mine, some people just straight retrieve. I really like the pause because it has a nice belly wobble. So many tail and weight configurations, you can work this bait in any depth even at the surface.
