Finally some muskie action on the fox. This morning I headed out to some deep holes I found while wading earlier in the year. After an hour got a small ~30 incher to follow twice on a slopmaster. I was pumped because it was the first definite musky I have seen this year on the river. Sat there and casted the area for a while and didn't see him again. Snagged my slopmaster on a log and broke the 65 lb test trying to get it out

Headed to another deep hole with a log jam above it and a few casts later I got a hit and set the hook. The fish came to the surface and all I saw was a huge mouth and head shakes and the fish was gone. I'm still sick to my stomach and its been a couple of hours... it was mid 40's. Heading back in a few minutes... ill be there all day until dark, the fish are finally there.
