I have a rod that the clearcoat around the thread on the eyes is cracked. Just woundering what that stuff is called and where i can get it. And possibly a correct procedure to repairing it. Any info is great thanks in advance

Flexcoat; it's a 2-part product - not a great adhesive, but wonderful as a protectant of wrapping threads. Most tackle shops that provide rod building/repairing products should stock it.

Also available online at Mudhole or Thornes or Jann's netcraft. In an ideal situation you would apply it and spin it on a lathe so it can dry evenly. Otherwise just apply a tiny bit at a time, let it dry, then apply more.
