Can you swap out a foot pedal to a different style in a minnkota power drive from one that has a lever that moves up and down for speed control to the one that has the little roller?

As long as it has the same plug. The old one has a square plug and the new ones have a round plug.

ToddM, the lever that moves up and down is for the first powerdrive. The one with the roller for the speed control is for the powerdrive v2. Basically I took your question as can you cut the plug off the motor and wire it to handle the new plug? I have no idea although I would say its possible but I would contact a minnkota repair shop or minnkota and see what they say!
