In the spring of 2008 I switched my fish finder unit. I took out the usual (the one that just comes with the boat). And I put on a Humminbird 595 GPS/combo.
Now I have that little Lowrance X47 TX just sitting around in my house. I don't have any of the cords any more though. Just the gragh. Does Lowrance sell the cords and the transducer seprate?
Is there anyway that I can mount it on the bow of the boat? Either place the transducer in the front or the back. I heard that placing it on the front is a lot better, because you would be reading the depth that is right under you and not 20 feet behind you.
Any advice would help, thanks!

Mount the graph on the bow. Run the cord down the trolling motor shaft. Then mount the transducer on the bottom of the trolling motor. Thats how mine is and I have no problems.

Give it all a slow trial run before you hard mount it and take it out. I know two guys that installed a TM ducer in the garage, and the first time they deployed it, they either stretched it too far and messed up the install, or actually cut it.
