My 02 1760 Ospray is taking in water some where, if we fish a spot for an hour I get about 2 gallons on water in the boat and then bilg it out and when the boat sits over night in the water I get about 3 to 4 gallons. I was told by some frinds to check to see if the fittings on my livewell pumps are leaking. How do you do that it looks like the batterie and oil res. needs to come out and some how that platform needs to come out. And then I need to find some water to just let the boat sit in? Does anyone have an easy way to tell or know of a good trustworthy dealer in Northern Ill.

The only holes in the boat are the livewell fittings and the boat plug with the boat on the trailer. Take the back panel out, plug the holes on the outside of the boat with corks, and fill the livewell to overflowing. Look at the fittings at the livewell and at the hull with a flashlight, where water comes out, that's your leak. It also can come in through the splashwell every time you stop if the boot for the wiring isn't sealed. If no water is coming out of the boat plug when there is water in the hull, that isn't it either. Check the pump itself as well, while looking at the fittings. Some times the O ring goes out in the pump and it leaks.
