| Going to be installing my new sonar and was wondering if it mattered which battery I connect it to?? Have two, deep cycle and cranking. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | To avoid interference with your trolling motor, the best place to power your sonar unit is off your cranking battery. Leave your deep cycles exclusively for your trolling motor. |

Location: NEW | If you connect to your deep cycles, you'll run the risk of running into a low voltage situation that can be bad for your sonar unit.
