Has anyone tried this yet? I was a big fan of the Berkley whiplash, and have heard that this is very similar.

Nope but, seriously considering spooling up a rod to see how it does. I like my spiderwire invisibraid that I've been using, but wish it was a little more abrasion resistant.

I tried it on bass and catfish... didnt really care for it personaly
