The best advice I can give is to work the thickest green weeds you can find. Weed growth is behind a normal years growth on the Chip due to a cold, late spring. You should be able to find some decent weed growth, especially on the north end of the Chip. Try the Musky Bay area, there must be a reason they call it that.
Best baits have been twitch baits (6" Slammer in perch or walleye) or bucktails. Try a black tail with a brass, orange, or lime green blade, Bootails are my favorite. During low light conditions, overcast or dusk, try a surface bait.
