Found a hidden creek outlet that had enough water in it to let a small boat go up.

After about a quarter mile it widened to a small two acre pond with 26' of water.Im absolutely positive none has ever thrown a cast in there.

Three casts later with a six inch holoform Grandma I got my first black lagoon fish of the season. The water was the darkest color I have ever seen so it was a true Black lagoon.

Just a nice feeling to know these places still exist in our times.Took a few more casts and left knowing once water levels return to normal no one will get up there. Pic of fish attached

Congrats 7Islands! Glad your hard work, experimentation, and exploration payed off for you. My guess is your new "black lagoon" is a part of a seasonal spawning run.... so when the water receded the fish might too (unless they get trapped). Either way, sounds like you found yourself a little piece of heaven on earth. Keep a tight lip on that one!
