Can anyone give me feedback on Callahan Lake in Sawyer County? Looking into it as a possible 4th of July Weekend destination.
From the little I've read sounds like a bass & muskie lake. What can one expect there?
THanks.

Its an action lake. Fished it once and caught several muskies but very small ones under 30 inches. Kids would like it, they dont care how big the fish are. Put on a small bass sized tinsel tail spinner bait and have at it. Lots of weeds.

Fun lake to fish. Make sure you you hit Mud Lake too. It's connected by the channel on the north side of Callahan. A numbers lake for sure. Try Gold on Yellow in-line spinners [Mepps].

Good Luck.
