I am going to put a floor into an aluminum v-hull. I was wondering what is the best material to use for a sub-floor. I cannot think of anything to use for a joist that would support the plywood flooring and keep it flat while being light weight. I have never done this before so any ideas or help pertaining to dropping in a floor would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kly

try a pressure treated 2 x 4 as the joist and get a piece of pressure treated plywood as the platform, put a couple coats of water sealer on it and after it dries cover it with some carpeting, this worked for me.[;)]

KLY,

I've done this a few times, mostly on jon boats for duck hunting. Give me a call. If you don't have my number, e-mail me, and I'll send it to you again.
