Location: Verona, WI | My in-laws live in Black River Falls and there are muskies in the river but wondering if anyone has any experience fishing this water? I am a little paranoid of rocks so any tips on places to avoid would be helpful.

I did some wading starting late last year and so far in four trips have one 34" musky, a broken St. Croix, and a broken eyelet on another St. Croix and am looking for something just a tad safer for my clutsiness. Climbing in the boulders can be dangerous. There's enough water upsteam of Black River that people water ski in the river but I don't know how far I can go up without worrying about rocks.
