Subject: shimano compre rods

Location: Northern Wisconsin
i have been using the 6'8" xheavy for a couple seaons and really like it but im thinking of trying
a longer rod. has any one used the 7'6" or 8' heavy or xheavey and what do you think of them. do
you think i should get 7'6" or 8'. my boat is an older aluminum style so im not really close to the
water when casting from the front.

thanks

I have 2 of the 8 foot xheavy and love them for casting anything and they are good trolling rods also.
