I am realitively new to musky fishing. Been at it for a two years, I have been out with three different guides had a blast with all of them but starting this year I am going to try to get out more by myself. I am looking for general ways to put more fidh in the boat. Any Suggestions?
Thank you

| Bart,
The best suggestion is to get out and fish as much as you can. There is no substitute for time on the water.
It might help if you name a couple of lakes that you are looking at fishing. That way people can give you some more specific answere instead of generalizations.
I would suggest breaking things down on the specific lake you are fishing and learning a small section of the lake each and every time out. Make sure you understand it and look for the little things that are going to hold fish. If you don't do this, you will become frustrated in no time. If you have been out with guides before, take what they taught you and put those applications to work on the lakes you plan to fish. Understanding the spots is the big key. Once you have found a good spot, the fish will come.

| Always have confidence in what your doing. You'll be a whole lot more successful if you feel like your doing it right. Also, make sure you watch for fish slowly following behind your bait. As a newcomer to the musky fishing, this can be something that could up your percentages of putting fish in the boat. |
