| YES, when I traded from the 1650 to the 1850, Wave wackers were the first thing I asked for. Honestly don't know the transom height or if you can get different ones, thought the one I have is standard size. I was tent camping on Lac Des Millac last June, with our boats beached on Hook Island (1650, then). One night a storm rolled through and it only took about 2 minutes to swamp her, NOT FUN. There was a Lund 17 something with wackers that had no problems. There was a smokercraft 16 something w/o wackers that was getting swamped, but slow enough that we could catch it in time.
The waves also crashed over quite often when out and about on the water. 2 weeks after I got the 1850 w/wackers this fall, we went to Mill Lacs, with a very windy miserable East wind and big waves, the wackers were awesome!!! Even if you fish Muskie 100% of the time and never back troll, I recommend them for this boat. Transom height was my only complaint with the crestliner and now complaint is fixed. Enjoy the Muskie Edition you lucky bugger!!![] [] I looked into trading up to the Muskie edition already, but after just getting the 1850 last Sept., I would lose my butt.
p.s. I think the wackers were $350 installed, they came from Minneapolis. |
