Which woods have the highest density - like hardwoods which would be less bouyant and which ones are less dense like balsa which would float more. Can someone rate different woods? Thanks in advance............

Oak is naturally hard and very dense so needs less weight added, but Oak is a hard wood to work with.
I like Mahogany which is less dense, easy to shape and has a better action and is good for Jerkbaits.
Pine is good for crankbaits as its very bouyant and easy to shape
