I am getting a new 7'6" crank/bucktail rod, and I dont know what real I want to put on it, either a 6500 C5 Mag X or a Calcutta 400 the shimano seams smoother but is $100.00 bucks more is it worth the extra cash?

Osprey,
Not sure on which lures you're using, but I personally don't like throwing bucktails on a slow retrieve reel. The 6600C5 doesn't look half bad but another high end reel is the Daiwa Millionaire CVZ300A for $210 and I feel is better than the CT400. 6 BBrgs, more metal parts and the easier tp work bait alarm as well as a few other points. Same gear ratio as the 6600C5.

C5 Mag X My choice...get 2 for the price of 1....

That is my opinion. I'm not sponsored, bribed, or given anything for the above endorsement. I SIMPLY use the product.
