Subject: Setup

I am have been researching muskie fishing for some time now, I would like to get into it. I am an avid bass fisherman but want to try out another type of fishing. What type of rod & reel outfit do you guys suggest, I have a boat so thats not a problem. Also I would like to get some jerkbaits and some other lures, which would be the best to start out with.

Also, what kind of line and leader setup I should use for casting jerkbaits, and bucktails

Thanks,
Corey

for your first set up or combo, i would go to bass pro shops and buy the pete maina combo i think it will run you 140 bucks for rod and reel. for the price you cant beat it!! and it is a durable set up!!

I like BPS rods alot.... but in this case I would go with a St. Croix 6'9 Heavy... Premier.... , Great all around rod. .. I like the abu garcia c5's at cabela's.... as far as lures... get a Burt or a Suick or two .. a depthraider .... and a silver bladed ,black skirted bucktail...... and a Black/Orange Regular sized Bulldawg..... Great starter pack.......
