I will be heading toHigh Falls Flowage up in Crivitz this weekend. I have caught a few fish up there in the past but only while fishing for Eyes or Bluegills. The flowage has a lot of Islands and Rocks. Along wit abundant weeds and bays. The color of the water is a dark bronze but is very clean and clear. It kinda reminds me alot like a Canadian body of water with all the high rock cliffs.

Where do I start and with what? I would sure appreciate some help and will take every bit of info I can get. I am sure I will get out there and make a few casts only to find that I would rather be gill fishing but I try more and more to like this disease.....I just dont see the point of catching one fish to put on the grill when you can catch 25 gills forthe fry pan....I think I prefer the fried fish better than that grilled fillet-o-muskie...hahahaha

Thanks Guys.

Troy

P.S. If anyone is up in the Crivitz area this weekend let me know and we can hook up.

Well howdy Mr. Bluegill! Assuming weather conditions are favorable, I would start with a bucktail, recent favorite is the Hirsch's Original in white perch with a white blade. Hirsch's is a very slow retrieve, but they might want fast, so a Buchertail 700 in natural perch w/ copper blade, or black and silver. If that doesn't work, I would try twitching crankbaits like 7.5" Grandmas in natural colors. If that doesn't work, I would switch to a glider, either an Undertaker or a MuskyBum original. If that doesn't work, then I have to decide between jigs or gernades or just head to the bar and hope to get luckier. Have a ball, Troy!

Someone ought to know details about the water he's heading toward. Mr. Bluegill is a good bud of the board and let's help him all we can, eh?
just foolin
