I'm asking for some advice on whether to fish a lake with tigers in it while muskie doesn't open 'til june 5. I've fished this lake several times last year and have caught more tigers than pike but a few of the pike were nice size(34"+). I was basically targeting both last year using the same baits.

I would like to catch some nice pike while muskie is still closed but I'm afraid I will catch a tiger out of season. Any answers?

Thanks, Jimus

stop high speed trolling in the propwash (ha ha).
use only a red and white daredevil (pike lure right?)

if those two ways don't work then you can always just paint the side of your lures with the words "No Muskies" <-That ought to do it.

If you fish for Pike you WILL catch hybrids, so it's up to you. Just downsize and hope for the best, I would guess.
