| Looking for recommendations for a lodge on a musky water with a couple big requests:
1) Nice amenities for my wife. Any hot tubs, larger beds and cabin suites, etc. Restaurants on site are a big bonus.
2) Location is somewhat irrelevant. What I mean is that I don't care what state/province it is in. If I can avoid urban areas and have a more traditional country setting, that is preferable. Towns up to 50k are whatever, just want to avoid the Twin Cities.
3) If you have somewhere in mind, do you recommend a certain time of year to go? It doesn't have to be midsummer.
Any place with activities and things going on for guests is a big plus.
Appreciate your input ahead of time. |

| Phersons lodge - lake vermilion
Mantrap lodge
Resorts on leech in Walker area
Detroit lakes area
^ all MN all close enough to good dining options if you want to take a short car ride
For Canada, you might want to look in Kenora, fun little town with a fair amount going on, shopping, dining etc. then access to one of the best muskie lakes. If your wife is up for a boat in adventure on lotw, you could look a Wiley point - good location , all-inclusive dining, been almost 20 years since I was there but was a nice place when visited last… but definitely would be more on the fishing side of your request
