Location: PA Angler
PA decided to stop stocking tigers and to focus on pures. Seems like pures are doing better. I’m all for it as I wouldn’t mind seeing more natural reproduction. Plus I heard that they only did tigers for the trout lakes anyways.

it's too warm on average year round for tigers to succeed. there haven't been pike in regions of the state for a long time now.

Not sure on how warm but think it’s due to them being sterile. As for as pike there is a healthy population in a lot of PA waterways and in some of our waters there are actually natural repo on tigers not much but very little does happen. As far as stocking them I don’t think there was a need for them and in our waters can support pure. So a good choice I think.
