There has been a lot of discussion on here about FFS and sharp shooting for musky. Yesterday there was a half hour tv show about Sharp Shooting on ice for walleye. It was an eye opener for me. They did it as a team, one guy set up his FFS and then directed two other guys to where there was a walleye. 30, 40 feet away, they quickly drilled holes and dropped on the fish. Sometimes they had to follow moving fish, with the guy directing them.
I understood how it works but to see it on ice, with a team was rather jarring. I have heard the argument that FFS is not much different than SI, which most of us have. Watch this show and tell me that.

you could do the same with side imaging on ice. i know of people doing it on Mille Lacs before livescope. i use side imaging for locating walleyes in summer as well. Livescope is better as it is a live image and not a still shot. is it cheating? yes but so is mapping gps

You might be able to see where fish were with SI, but you are not going to see them react to a bait in real time. The guy with FFS was actually coaching the teammate on where to put his bait. I have two different SI units and I am not doing that with either.
And doing it from 40 feet away?
