Location: Illinois | My brother is looking to take his sons somewhere for a day trip within a few hours of the south Chicagoland area. Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

| Fox chain would be a good choice. Boat rentals and guide service is available. An hr's drive west, you have the Fox river or Shabbona, which can be fished in a day. South of Chicago, if your brother has his own boat, Heidecke is a sleeper that has big fish. Crossing the border into Wis. Pewaukee and Okauchee are good muskie lakes. Realistically, if your brother is keeping it at one day, if possible, hiring a guide on the Fox chain would probably be his best chance at success. kdawg
