Hi. Spur of the moment opportunity came up to be near Hayward this week. Never been on the Chippewa Flowage but my son and I are planning to give it a go on Friday to chase muskies. Thinking of staying at Indian Trails for a night…is the a good location on the Flowage to be?

Location: Brighton CO.
I've fished the flowage but only in the fall. Indian Trial is a famous resort run by John Dettloff and John's family been fishing that area long before they had the resort and they bought it in the early 70's. The resort is on the east side of the Flowage and the water is darker then the west. This is a good place to fish on the wild side as far as development and lots of room to spread out. John is a guide, author, local historian.

Still early in the season, but if you stay at Indian Trail, you will be near two of the most famous areas, the church and cranberry bars. But, any early weed growth could hold fish. Kdawg
