Last Friday (May 23) I was out on local reservoir (Iron Co. Mi.) fishing for pike. The surface temp was basically 56 everywhere I fished. Last evening (May27) I was back out on the same reservoir. The temps were up to 61. A little surprised how much weed growth there is already. I did catch some typically small pike, nothing over 22 inches. I haven't even "tried" catching a musky yet this year, but as I said in an earlier thread, I'm anxious to see a musky or two. Almost time :^)

I would say the water level is just a little low. The dangerous lower unit destroying tip of the big rock is not visible at this time. It is usually less than a foot below the surface, but I've seen that tip above the surface many times when the water is a little lower. Up in the north end there were a few deadheads protruding a little more than usual. We need rain and lots of it.
