Last night as I was in bed, thoughts of muskies entered my mind as they always seem to do. I started thinking that it would be best to troll the middle of the channel going downstream because the fish will be positioned nose first and they always hit better with a bait moving at them.

Then when I troll back upstream, I'll troll shallow where the fish will be more likely to facing in another direction as compared to the faster moving water in the middle of the channel.

I'm new to trolling
Am I dilusional>?

how are you going to keep your bait at a reasonable speed trolling downstream yet keep the action. I mean if it is a 5mph curent would you have to go 10 mph downstream? how about going up, is that don at just a crawl?
